Charnwood is seeking a dynamic, motivated and organized planning professional for a key management role within the Planning and Growth Service. The role will support the preparation of the Strategic Development Strategy, lead planning policy, environment infrastructure funding teams, and deliver transformational change and continuous improvement to secure excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of the Strategic Development Strategy and deliver associated outcomes.
  • Lead and manage planning policy and environment infrastructure funding teams across the area.
  • Lead local plan team and manage local plans through to adoption.
  • Deliver transformational change and continuous improvement for customer service.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in planning policy preparation.
  • Experience managing local plans through to adoption and wider planning practice.
  • Leadership experience managing a local plan team or the ambition to step into a senior leadership role.
  • Team player with a positive approach and willingness to contribute to change and improvement.
