Camden has a proud rebellious spirit and history of bringing people together to stand up to injustice and tackle inequality. We believe that everyone should have the chance to succeed and that nobody should be left behind.

It’s our aim that every one of the 30,000 plus homes we manage should be a foundation for happy and thriving lives. We are on a journey to ensure our landlord service is among the best in the sector, and we believe a radically relational approach to housing services is central to achieving that aim, with neighbourhood-based services and residents’ voices at the heart of what we do.

Leading a service of around 500 colleagues, you will be responsible for estate management,

leaseholder services, resident participation, our housing contact centres, and income. But more than that, you will bring energy and creativity to challenge yourself, the team you lead, and the wider Council to put the wellbeing of tenants and leaseholders, and the strengthening of their voice, at the centre of everything we do.

You will have experience leading a large operational service within a local authority or housing association and be passionate about developing staff. You will understand the challenges facing housing delivery in the context of a regulatory notice but, most importantly, have a passion for delivering truly relational services to Camden’s residents.
