But this is not a traditional Director of Education role. While you will champion school effectiveness and engage regularly with headteachers, you will also be accountable for a broad remit spanning inclusion for children with special educational needs and disabilities, the increasingly complex school place planning agenda, and the strategic relationships that underpin successful outcomes for children and young people.
You will play a leading role across the wider children’s system, working closely with health, commissioning and other key stakeholders, shaping services for children and families, and providing oversight of substantial budgets, including children in care placements.
It is a unique opportunity to use your system leadership skills to positively impact the future for Brent’s children and young people.
