Delivery Manager
Royal Greenwich is a vibrant borough, with a rich history and diverse community. We’re proud of the work we do to serve our residents.
We have a vision of a happier, healthier, and more connected borough. To achieve this, we’re investing heavily in our digital services, and we've published our first ever digital strategy. This strategy is what shapes what we're working on right now and into the future.
Our Delivery Management Community plays a vital role in making Digital transformation and change happen. We have been maturing and evolving our Delivery Management practices over the last 4 years to better meet the needs of local government. You can get a feel of what is like being a Delivery Manager in our organisation from this blogpost written by Beth, our Head of Delivery .
It’s an exciting time to join us. We're searching for people‑focused digital, data and technology experts to join our new team. We’re focused on improving services for our residents and making our borough truly digital. There's plenty of opportunity for you to have your say and help shape our work.
We’re building a team where everyone feels safe to be who they are. We value empathy, open mindedness, and a real passion for our mission.
What You’ll Do
- As part of our Digital and Customer Services team, you’ll be embedded in a service environment, working directly with service leadership and supporting a multidisciplinary change team using a range of human‑centred, agile, change approaches to improve public services and digital products.

You will motivate and support individuals in the team to ensure there is psychological safety, clear expectations, and the right blend and level of skills to operate successfully. - You’ll use your experience to create a reflective, inclusive and fast learning culture; choose the appropriate delivery methods to respond to the challenges and changing context; and lead the collaborative, dynamic delivery process.
- You’ll use a variety of tools and techniques to scope change work, stand‑up project teams with the right skills blend, and ensure delivery of the intended outcomes.
- You’ll oversee the process of setting outcomes, and gathering and analysing qualitative and quantitative data to measure outcome delivery and inform the direction of the work.
- You’ll be part of the delivery, product, project management and change communities across the council, setting standards and role‑modeling working in the open, team‑led governance, continuous learning and iteration based on feedback.
