Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated part time Practice Nurse with good interpersonal and communication skills to join our busy and friendly team for 23 hours per week. We are a SystmOne teaching Practice based near the City Centre, we have a patient population of around 14,000, and our last CQC rating was Good. This is a permanent position and your working days must include Thursday and Friday. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Main duties of the job
- Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs
- Asthma management
- Chronic disease management
- Cytology
- Wound care
- Travel Clinic
- Peak Flow Readings/Spirometry
- Ear syringing
- Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations
- Contraception checks
- Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurse or GP as appropriate
About us
Complementing our existing clinical team of 10 Doctors, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs and 2 Phlebotomists, you will work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues alike.
Job responsibilities
Job Summary
- Provide assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice, working in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct;
- Provide nursing treatments to patients independently or in participation with nurse colleagues and General Practitioners with reference to agreed protocols and guidelines;
- Provide general and specific health screenings to the patients with referral to General Practitioners or other health professionals as necessary.
