CK Group are recruiting for a Technician, to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry, at their site based in Wyton, on a permanent basis. The Company: Our client provides resources to the pre-clinical research market. They have contributed to the development of life-saving therapies and treatments for humans and animals.Main Responsibilities:Conduct daily animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, cleaning, animal handling and animal observations as directed by the team leader or Buddy.Complete daily monitoring and reporting of the animal unit environment including temperatures, and the security and suitability of animal housing.Conduct cleaning and maintaining animal rooms, associated areas and equipment, in accordance with work instructions.Completion of all relevant departmental records, including day books, production data reports and stock availability records.Receiving & dispatching of goods in/out of animal facility, using correct sterilisation procedures to maintain animal barrier status.The production, birthing, weaning, sexing, counting and weighing of animals.The ability to implement basic animal breeding systems and an understanding of the importance of replacement breeding stock selection criteria.Re-housing and grouping of animals in accordance with Home Office guidelines, as directed by team leader.Education / work experience:Level 2 Diploma in Animal Management.Experienced in routine manual work that requires attention to detail.Experience in routine animal husbandry.Experience in animal handling of all species on site.Apply:It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK and a full UK driving license.
