Postdoctoral Research Associate

We seek a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Translational Lymphoma Research group of Professor Okosun. Our lab studies the pathogenesis of lymphomas, investigating intra-tumour heterogeneity, clonal evolution, biomarkers of response and resistance to therapies and developing methodologies to study lymphoma cell populations. The wet lab/computational biology postdoc will lead a project investigating residual follicular lymphoma cell populations using patient samples and employing a combination of multi-modal techniques (scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, ResolveOME) to develop novel assays for disease monitoring. The post is based at the Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) in London, with an ideal start date of July 2025.

The successful candidate will be highly-motivated, have a PhD (or close to completion) in a biological or computational discipline, with strong expertise in experimental multi-omics techniques and computational biology alongside experience with flow cytometry and bulk/single cell bioinformatics in genomics/transcriptomics.

It is one of six institutes within The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. BCI is internationally renowned in many areas of cancer research and it combines ground-breaking basic research with the expertise of clinicians and clinician scientists from the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine and the Barts NHS Trust to achieve improvements in cancer patient care. BCI is a partner in the CRUK City of London Major Centre which is a Centre of Excellence in Biotherapeutics.
