CK Group are recruiting for a Legal Manager to join our client's expanding team. This person will work closely with the business development team and the company's clients to draft and finalize contracts, as well as participate in the negotiation.
Location: Cambridge, MA.
What you would be responsible for:
- Negotiate, draft, and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights.
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
- Oversee the legal aspects of business operations and transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance in business activities.
- Provide accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, corporate finance, etc.).
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations.
What experiences will you need:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- Over two years experience as attorney in corporate law and legal expertise.
- Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical companies, particularly in drug discovery, solid-state chemistry, or automated synthesis systems is a plus.
- In-house legal experience in a technology or R&D-driven organization is highly desired.
- Familiarity with international legal matters and cross-border transactions.
- Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized with great time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and critical thinking abilities.
