We are recruiting a software engineer to work on our web app. The role would suit a Junior Developer looking for a step-up in responsibility or alternatively a Senior Developer looking to progress into a Lead Developer / CTO role.
The role can be based in either London, Manchester or Edinburgh depending on the candidate’s preference. We are looking for someone who appreciates our vision, developing code and building platforms that most accurately reflect our company ethos.
You will hold an integral role in the founding team, as we aim to build out our platform over the next 24 months. We are looking for someone dedicated, who understands that sometimes, short deadlines and hard work are part and parcel of breaking down barriers and building something that can truly revolutionise an industry that has stood still for centuries. This should lead to a CTO / Co-founder role if the fit is right.
Our Company is just closing a large pre-seed round, with money largely going towards building out a passionate team. We are looking for employees that buy into our big vision and are here for the long term. It’s a great time to join the team, as cultural attitudes to death are shifting – and we are at the forefront.
We are in the process of building an end-of-life marketplace. In an age where technology giants are dramatically changing the entire landscape of our lives, those dealing with death have sat on the side-line. We aim to positively disrupt the industry, making things like life insurance and funeral plans easier to assemble.
In its current form, our service helps people cope with one of life’s hardest experiences - losing a loved one. We know that talking about death isn’t something that everyone is comfortable with. We were inspired by a family tragedy, and our core belief is that being able to address death admin in a straightforward and simple manner will allow the days, weeks and months following the loss of a loved one to be focused on the truly important things.
Once we help our users with this admin, we will guide them towards getting themselves prepared, which is where our larger vision sits.
We’re passionate about helping people through one of life’s toughest tests. While this is, of course, a tech-focused role, our belief is that empathy and understanding should be built into the core thread of our business.
