- Day shift: 08:00 - 16:30
- Rotating shift pattern:
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, repair, and refurbish precision tooling to tight tolerances using engineering drawings
- Operate manual and CNC machining equipment, including ProTrak-style CNC milling machines
- Interpret technical drawings and collaborate with design/engineering teams to develop tooling solutions
- Support the introduction of new tooling and modifications for evolving production requirements
- Troubleshoot tooling and manufacturing issues, providing practical engineering solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment in line with safety procedures
- Support maintenance activities when required
- Mentor and support junior team members and apprentices where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent qualification in engineering or toolmaking
- Proven experience in precision machining, toolmaking, or fabrication
- Strong background in high-precision, low-tolerance manufacturing
- Experience with both CNC and manual machining equipment
- Familiarity with ProTrak-type CNC milling systems is highly desirable
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving ability with a practical, hands-on approach
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to manage workload effectively and work independently when required
