We are seeking a reliable and experienced RCV Loader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading refuse collection vehicles, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Load refuse containers onto RCVs (Refuse Collection Vehicles) in accordance with operational procedures.
- Ensure all waste is securely loaded to prevent spillage during transit.
- Conduct routine checks on vehicles and loading equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Assist with vehicle inspections and basic mechanical tasks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding load status and any issues encountered.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during loading operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the loading area.
Experience
- Previous experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Proven commercial driving experience, including driving flatbed or similar vehicles.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to commercial vehicles is advantageous.
- Experience with flatbed or similar load types preferred.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively within a team.
- Valid driver’s licence or equivalent is essential.
- Delivery driver experience and warehouse experience are considered beneficial for this role.
Hours
- Minimum 40 hours per week.
- Job and finish role.
- Typical working week is between 48–52 hours.

Important Information
Interviews and induction training will take place at our Head Office in Devizes. Interviews can be conducted via Teams where required, however successful candidates must be able to attend induction and training in Devizes before starting. Immediate starts available.
