An established authorised commercial vehicle repair and maintenance business is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy HGV workshop operation.

The Role

As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to manufacturer and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily workshop operations
  • Plan and allocate work to technicians and apprentices
  • Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and manufacturer representatives where required
  • Monitor productivity, workflow, and job completion
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer, legal, and health & safety requirements
  • Control and monitor workshop budgets while ensuring operational targets and performance objectives are achieved

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience managing or supervising an HGV/commercial vehicle workshop
  • Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair
  • Familiarity with manufacturer standards within the commercial vehicle sector
