An established authorised commercial vehicle repair and maintenance business is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy HGV workshop operation.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to manufacturer and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily workshop operations
- Plan and allocate work to technicians and apprentices
- Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and manufacturer representatives where required
- Monitor productivity, workflow, and job completion
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer, legal, and health & safety requirements
- Control and monitor workshop budgets while ensuring operational targets and performance objectives are achieved
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience managing or supervising an HGV/commercial vehicle workshop
- Strong technical knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair
- Familiarity with manufacturer standards within the commercial vehicle sector
- Good organisational and leadership skills
- Confident communicator with a hands-on approach
