This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a stable, full-time position with a great work-life balance.
Working as part of a dedicated refuse collection team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste across the local area while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) refuse collection vehicle.
- Complete daily collection routes in Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.
- Work closely with the loading crew to ensure collections are completed efficiently.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Complete relevant paperwork and use onboard systems where required.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with the public.
Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of driver hours and road transport legislation.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
