The Role
As MPS Planner, you will be responsible for managing the short-term production plan and customer order schedule, ensuring customer demand is aligned with available manufacturing capacity. You will play a key role in keeping production realistic, achievable, and responsive, working closely with teams across Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production, Purchasing, Dispatch, Quality, and Engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining the short-term production plan and orderbook
- Translating customer demand into achievable production schedules
- Creating and releasing production orders via ERP systems
- Monitoring capacity constraints, backlog, and overdue orders
- Communicating delivery risks, changes, and constraints clearly and promptly
- Prioritising urgent orders and managing schedule changes
- Supporting daily planning and cross-functional coordination meetings
- Maintaining accurate system data and planning documentation

- Experience in planning, supply chain, order management, or similar operational roles
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Confident working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Clear communicator with the ability to manage priorities and escalate appropriately
