At New Reflexions, we are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Home Manager to lead our specialist residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. New Reflexions is a specialist childcare provider delivering integrated care, education, and therapeutic support to children and young people with a history of trauma, learning disabilities, and complex behavioural needs. About the Home

Longridge Care Home is a 6-bed specialist Learning Disability Residential Home, co-located with our independent special school in the Staffordshire countryside. We support young people aged 5–18 with:

  • Moderate to severe learning disabilities
  • Autism spectrum conditions
  • Complex behavioural and emotional needs

The home delivers individualised care packages (up to 52 weeks per year) with a strong focus on:

  • Positive behaviour support plan (PBSP)
  • Therapeutic interventions
  • Structured routines and communication strategies

The Role

As Registered Home Manager, you will lead the service alongside a Deputy Manager in delivering high-quality, compliant, and outcomes-focused care for young people with complex learning needs. You will:

  • Provide strong, visible leadership to a multidisciplinary team
  • Champion person-centred care and positive behaviour support approaches
  • Ensure the home meets Ofsted regulations and quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement and excellent outcomes for young people
  • Manage staffing, development, and performance to maintain a skilled workforce
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and care planning processes
  • Work collaboratively with education, therapy, and external professionals

About You

We are looking for a passionate and resilient leader with experience in Learning Disability services. You will demonstrate:

  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, within children’s Learning Disabilities services
  • Strong experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
  • Sound knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and therapeutic care models
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to achieve)
  • A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A commitment to person-centred care and quality outcomes
  • Resilience and adaptability within a complex care environment
  • Full UK manual driving licence and access to own transport
