New Reflexions is a childcare organisation dedicated to offering care, education, and therapy services to young people who have encountered trauma, leading to emotional and behavioural challenges. The New Reflexions Children’s Residential Service provides therapeutic placements, catering to individuals up to the ages of 18 years, for both short-term and long-term placements. We are recruiting Residential Support Workers working with children across Shropshire, North Wales and Staffordshire. At New Reflexions, we believe in potential—not just experience. We provide full training from day one, with no previous experience required. We’re passionate about growing our own management teams, and we have clear career pathways in place for every role. From hands-on support to leadership, we’ll help you take every step forward. We’ll pay for you to gain your Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications, plus all the support and training you need to succeed.
Location: Cruckton, Shrewsbury. Full-time & Part-time roles | Up to £32,552 (including sleep-ins).
What You’ll Do
- Support vulnerable young people aged 8–18 with diverse emotional and behavioural needs.
- Build nurturing, respectful relationships.
- Support with daily routines like meals, hygiene, homework.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and self-worth.
- Participate in school life and lead educational and life skills activities.
- Respond calmly to challenging behaviour and emotional distress.
- Support health and wellbeing needs, including safeguarding and personal care.
- Create a stable, safe, and homely environment in line with care plans.
- Follow a 2-on / 3-off shift pattern (with sleep-ins) and part-time options (60, 90, or 120 hrs/month).
