New Reflexions are currently looking to recruit a Deputy Homes Manager to be based in Shropshire. You will work alongside the Home Manager and assist in the running of three solo occupancy homes. You will predominantly work office hours, Monday to Friday, but there is also a requirement of shift work where you will be required to work a minimum of 4 shifts with sleep ins which are to be rota’d in advance.
The main duties of the post holder will be:
- To be responsible to the Home Manager for the management of the resource as a whole
- Deputise for the Home Manager working office hours Monday to Friday while the Home Manager is on annual leave
- Have a multi-skilled approach that meets the needs of the young people and the home.
- Be ably skilled and qualified in behaviour management and be able to lead staff teams.
- Ensure that the overall Aims, Objectives, and Philosophy of New Reflexions are achieved through the maintenance of good quality practice in Residential Care Work and Education.
- Ensure the homes exceed Quality Standards.
- Be part of the On-Call manager team as per rota.
Requirements:
- Applicants must have 1 year Senior RCW and hold their NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare
- Full UK manual driving Licence; Access to your own transport;
- Passionate about helping children;
- Keen interest in outdoor education is also an advantage as we encourage our young people to be actively involved in the outdoors. (If you have relevant and recognised outdoor activity qualifications you may receive an increase in your salary).
- Able to complete sleep-in rota
- The post holder has the responsibility to adhere to our Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedure
