We are currently recruiting Vehicle Quality Control Inspectors for a well-established automotive operation based in Upper Heyford. This is a long-term opportunity with a permanent position available following a successful 12-week temporary period.

The Role

As a Vehicle Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet both internal and customer quality standards prior to dispatch, storage, or onward distribution. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough visual inspections of vehicles (interior and exterior)
  • Identifying cosmetic and mechanical defects
  • Accurately recording damage using handheld inspection devices
  • Completing digital or paper-based inspection reports
  • Ensuring vehicles meet required quality and compliance standards
  • Liaising with yard, logistics, and preparation teams
  • Maintaining high levels of accuracy and consistency
  • Following strict health & safety procedures on site

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous vehicle inspection, automotive, or quality control experience desirable
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Basic IT literacy (handheld devices / tablets)
  • Reliable, punctual, and process-driven
  • Full UK driving licence preferred (site dependent)
