About the Role: This role involves shunting lorries around our site during the PM shift, loading and unloading vehicles, and ensuring smooth yard operations. If you have prior experience in yard operations and hold an HGV Class 1 licence, we’d love to hear from you. Counterbalance forklift experience is preferred, but we can provide training to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely shunt lorries between the yard and the lorry park.
  • Load and unload vehicles using a counterbalance forklift and PPT (powered pallet truck).
  • Monitor the LRS system for incoming vehicles to ensure efficient processing.
  • Ensure all loaded pallets are securely wrapped to prevent damage during transit.
  • Follow safety regulations and site procedures to maintain high health & safety standards.
  • Perform daily truck safety checks and ensure vehicle cleanliness.
  • Support overall yard operations as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Shunter or HGV Class 1 licence.
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Counterbalance forklift experience preferred (training available for the right candidate).
  • Strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
