We are a new company looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy joining a dynamic team that encourages children in care to access community activities such as local walks, trips to the park, swimming, or going to the cinema. Support Workers promote health and well-being and support individuals to maintain their home, whilst also encouraging in-house activities such as cooking and arts and crafts. The support we deliver is flexible and tailored to each individual, building on their strengths and driven by their goals. As a Support Worker, you will be an essential member of our team with a friendly, calm and compassionate approach. You will provide support and enable our clients to fulfil their ambitions and potential. Together we will ensure we make a positive difference in our client’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to clients with a variety of needs including Complex Needs or Learning Disabilities.
- Work flexibly on a rota including some weekends and evenings.
- Operate on a 24-hour rota 10am-10am if that suits.
- Work alongside our clients, assisting with budgeting monies and household bills.
- Administration of Prescribed Medication.
- In some cases, assist with meal preparation.
- Assist with all daily living tasks.
- Access activities within the local community.
- Provide a person-centred approach following detailed Care Plans.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
