Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home. Earnings up to £37,600 + Bonuses.

Salary: Base salary ranging from £32,600 to £37,600, depending on experience and qualifications.

Bonus Scheme: Monthly attendance bonus, Employee of the Month bonus, Birthday Bonus.

Hours: Monthly contracted hours – between 150 and 170 hours, pro rata, dependent upon rota patterns and days in each month.

Qualifications: QCF Level 3/4 Residential Childcare/Level 3/4 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce, Full UK driving license, DBS on the update service, Experience working with children and young people in a care setting, PACE Training.

Responsibilities:

  • The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire young people in your care.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, in addition to working closely alongside other external professionals.
  • Provide a warm, nurturing and supportive environment for our young people to thrive in.
  • Handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally.
  • Make good decisions based on risk assessment and the needs of the children and your colleagues.
  • Assist with the day‑to‑day functions of the home and provide care based on specific individual needs.
  • Prepare the young people for independent life, supporting them with tasks such as cooking, personal care, behaviour management and general life skills.
  • Work collaboratively with various multi‑agencies, such as Social Services, the NHS, and the Police, to engineer the best outcomes for our children.
