About the Role
As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people in a therapeutic environment using our PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy). Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a safe, warm, and nurturing environment
- Supporting young people with daily routines, including cooking, personal care, and life skills
- Managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies such as Social Services, the NHS, and the Police
- Contributing to care planning, record-keeping, and risk assessments
- Encouraging independence and personal development in young people
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Resilience and the ability to stay positive in challenging situations
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of safeguarding practices
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
