New Milton Infant School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo to join our Senior Leadership Team.
This is an exciting opportunity tocontinue the success and make a significant impact within our ambitious schoolcommunity whilst helping shape the next stage of our improvement.
As a key memberof the leadership team, you will lead inclusion across the school, champion theneeds of pupils with SEND and other vulnerable learners and play a strategicrole in driving school improvement.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a strong classroom presence, delivering high-quality teachingand building meaningful relationships with children and families.
The Role

- Leadprovision for SEND, disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils.

- Hold the National Award for SEND Coordination (NASENCO) or be willing to
- undertakethe qualification within the required time frame.
- Hassuccessful leadership experience within a primary school setting.
- Hasexperience of leading SEND provision and inclusive practice.

- Buildspositive relationships with pupils, families and the wider community.
- Workscollaboratively with staff, governors and the wider community

Key Responsibilities
- Deputy Headteacher
- Support the Headteacher in providing strategicleadership and direction.
- Lead and monitor teaching, learning andassessment to ensure consistently
- high standards across the school.
- Drive school improvement initiatives andcontribute to self-evaluation and
- development planning.
- Support staff through coaching, mentoring andprofessional development.
- Contribute to safeguarding, behaviour, attendance and pupil wellbeing.
- Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
- SENDCo
- Lead the strategic development of SENDprovision throughout the school.
- Ensure that pupils with SEND receivehigh-quality support and achieve their full potential.
- Coordinate, monitor and evaluate SENDinterventions and provision.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, supportstaff, parents and external
- professionals.
- Manage statutory assessment processes andannual reviews where required.
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Champion inclusive practice and develop staffexpertise in meeting the needs of all children
