We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team, specialising in both adult and paediatric ultrasound examinations. This role requires a professional who is confident in a wide range of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, musculoskeletal, and paediatric imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for adult and paediatric patients in line with national and departmental protocols.
- Accurately interpret and report ultrasound findings, or assist radiologists in reporting where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care pathways.
- Participate in continuous professional development and departmental audit activities.
- Adhere to policies and national guidelines, including infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Registration with HCPC or other recognised UK professional regulatory body.
- Proven experience in adult general sonography (e.g. abdominal, pelvic, small parts).
- Competency in paediatric ultrasound.
- Experience in vascular ultrasound.
- Prior NHS experience or familiarity with UK healthcare systems.
