THE ROLE
As a Fraud & Stock Accuracy Analyst at New Look you will be responsible for supporting the company stocktake programme and improving stock file accuracy across the retail estate through detailed analysis, reporting and investigation. A key part of the role is the planning, processing and analysis of stocktakes during key stocktake periods, ensuring accurate stock files, identifying root causes of loss and supporting actions to improve stock accuracy and reduce shrink. Outside of stocktake periods, the role will focus on fraud, loss prevention and operational risk analytics across stores and ecommerce, identifying suspicious activity, emerging trends and operational risks through the analysis of multiple data sources and systems. The role supports the business through the production of clear, actionable insight that helps reduce financial loss, improve operational controls and support commercial performance.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support planning and execution of the company stocktake programme.
- Analyse multiple data sources to identify stores with elevated stock accuracy risk.
- Produce stocktake schedules within agreed operational and commercial parameters.
- Process stocktake results accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Investigate stock anomalies and identify root causes impacting stock file accuracy and shrink.
- Produce analysis and insight to support improvements in stock accuracy and loss reduction.
- Support maintenance and continuous improvement of stocktake systems, reporting and processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for stocktake queries and issue resolution during stocktake periods.
- Identify trends, anomalies and links between seemingly unrelated transactions, events or behaviours.
- Support investigations through preparation of case files, reporting and evidence gathering.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc analytical reporting to support operational decision making.
