The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Operational Audit Technician (15 hours a week) to join our Distribution Centre team. The primary purpose of this role is to independently check, measure and validate the accuracy of operational processes, inventory and warehouse activities, helping to ensure the highest standards of compliance, accuracy and operational excellence.

Working closely with operational leaders and colleagues across the distribution centre, you will conduct regular audits, analyse data, identify trends and provide clear feedback and recommendations to support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular operational and inventory audits within the distribution centre.
  • Measure and report on stock accuracy and process compliance.
  • Investigate discrepancies and identify root causes of errors.
  • Produce accurate audit reports and performance analysis.
  • Support operational teams in implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Communicate findings effectively to both frontline colleagues and senior leaders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and highlight areas of risk or opportunity.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of audit activities.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to analyse data and generate reports.

About You

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Confidence presenting findings and recommendations to operational leaders.
  • Solid PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and driving improvements.
  • Previous experience in auditing, stock control, inventory management, warehousing or operational analysis is desirable.
