We are hiring a HR and Talent Intern to join our People Team based as part of their university studies. This is a fixed term contract role in New Look's People Team, based in London (hybrid 2 days a week). You will provide hands-on support to the People Team and our New Look colleagues, ensuring that we deliver exceptional experiences to colleagues and candidates, while contributing to important initiatives that contribute to New Look's overall performance.

Please note that to be eligible for consideration, you must be enrolled in a sandwich-year degree and available to commence your placement in June or July 2026. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to HR work in a fast-moving, fashion retail business. You will contribute to real projects and work that is important to our business. You'll apply your university learning to make a real impact and work with everyone from new candidates, entry level joiners right up to our most senior colleagues who lead New Look. You'll be doing so in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

This will be a full-time role, and you will rotate through core areas of our People Team while you are here, including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, People Operations and Services, and Learning and Development to get a rounded view of how our HR team enables and supports New Look to thrive and deliver #thatNewLookfeeling to our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Talent Acquisition
    • Coordinate interview and assessment schedules between candidates and internal stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
    • Assist with hiring processes including job postings, CV screening, and interviewing - contributing to the Talent Team's work to recruit great talent into New Look.
    • Contribute to Recruitment projects and initiatives that are focused on improving our recruitment performance and employer brand.
    • Ensure recruitment collateral on our external career site is up to date.
    • Support onboarding for new internal hires.
    • Work as an ambassador for the New Look Recruitment process, ensuring positive candidate experience.
    • Maintain and develop strong relationships with desirable candidates during the recruitment process.
  • People Services & Operations
    • Support with the onboarding process and experience for new hires, ensuring they have the tools and information they need to succeed at New Look.
    • Maintain up-to-date records and supporting processes using our HR Information System, Dayforce.
    • Provide general administrative and coordination support across our People Services team, as required.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Proven ability to keep up to date with associated administrative tasks and fast-paced workload.
  • Be an effective communicator with excellent organisation skills and the confidence to prioritise workload when demands on time are being made by many managers at once.
  • Possess good influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and persuade others.
  • Ability to manage change and remain flexible to individual situations.
  • Knowledge of screening and short-listing candidates.
  • Knowledge of recruitment management systems / ATS e-recruitment solutions and have posted vacancies to job boards would be an advantage.
  • Confident using LinkedIn, Instagram, and job boards.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and willing to learn.
