THE ROLE
We are looking for an inventive Hair and Make-up Artist to help implement and interpret the New Look creative vision through the Hair and Make-up styling of Online Shoots. Being a fashion-forward thinker, you must understand and maintain best practices, not only to achieve very high standards of styling and imagery but also to maintain agreed efficiencies within the Studio. This role is based in our ecommerce studio in Central London 5 days a week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provide the highest standard of hairdressing and make up skills to the daily e-commerce shoots.
- Review the rail for that day’s shoot, look through the model’s book, consider previous NL imagery on this model and then talk through your hair / make up direction with the Art Director, Stylist and photographer.
- Ensure that your hair / make up creative is aspirational and considers the NL customer at all times.
- Understand the different NL creative personas (Miss NL / Girl Next Door / Classic / New Gen) and work with the Art Director and Styling Manager on creative hair / make up looks that support these personas.
- Working simultaneously across 1-2 models per day.
- Collaborate on a daily basis with Art Director, Photographer and Stylist to produce imagery.
- Work on daily direction in line with the seasonal New Look hair guidelines.
- Strong awareness and knowledge of trends and how these can be interpreted through the New Look Creative vision.
- This role requires a person with excellent hair styling technique (and make up skills) and a very strong creative visual focus, as well as possessing strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
WHO YOU ARE
- 2/3 years hair and make-up experience.
- Salon, e-commerce, and editorial session experience is a must.
- Strong fashion and trend knowledge.
- Good time management within a busy and pressured environment.
- Experienced and competent working with all skin tones.
- BTEC National Diploma Makeup and Hair Level 3 would be desired, but not essential.
