The Assistant Account Manager will be working within the Account Management team reporting to the Account Manager. The responsibilities of this role are to support the management of accounts with new and existing customers. The Assistant Account Manager is proactive, supportive and capable of making decisions on their own initiative. Able to thrive in a fast paced, action-oriented culture where they can suggest their own ideas within their area. This is a development role for career progression.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leadership: Understandable goals and targets that need to be achieved. Is a positive member of the team. Manages processes well and is focused on delivering the business goals. Manages own accounts with guidance. Leads strong, collaborative and respectful relationships with the Core Buying and Merchandising Teams. Following their critical path and lead with buying decisions whilst able to suggest and influence opportunities from partners feedback to be implemented.
- Problem Solving: Able to use information to identify priority issues. Demonstrates good cross‑functional working outside own department in order to devise workable solutions to problems. Able to find solutions which make a real difference to results. Makes proposals and generates enthusiasm on how to improve situations for business benefit.
- Area of Impact: Key role of supporting the developing the New Look brand across domestic/international with third party partnerships. Working extremely collaboratively and following the critical path Buyers & Merchandising whilst passing the right information and leans on to the relevant people to maximise the opportunities.
Who you are:
- 2+ years’ experience however, candidates with relevant experience within the apparel industry will also be favourably considered.
- Be a dynamic, driven and fashion focused persona that is self‑motivated and highly organised.
- Understand the importance of attention to detail and can manage time effectively and efficiently.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
- Excel literate and intermediate level of Microsoft office.

- Is aware of others’ perceptions and solicits feedback to ensure that their view is clear.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, being able to communicate effectively with peers and senior stakeholders.
- Always displays a confident and professional style, taking action to ensure that the Account Manager has all the information required to influence the achievement of business goals.
- Maintains and improves the quality of key relationships both internally and externally, continuously building trust and respect.
- Builds relationships across the function and with key functions (BMD, Partners, Logistics, Marketing, VM and Finance).
- Adapts style/content/method of communication to the situation and audience.
- Identifies needs and actively seeks development opportunities for Assistant Account Manager.
