We are a team of passionate scientists dedicated to fostering a love for marine conservation in future generations. Availability:

  • Programs run from mid-June through early September.
  • Required participation for the entire duration of the program, typically Monday-Friday, 9:00 am–2:00 pm.
  • Applicants must be available until mid to late August.
  • Note: We are unable to provide housing at this time.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Staff will assist Lead Scientists in conducting engaging lessons, activities, and discussions focused on marine science and conservation.
  • Support Staff will help care for attendees with a range of both physical and mental abilities, working independently with attendees if needed.
  • Support Staff will oversee the setup, maintenance, and organization of program materials and supplies.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for program participants.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
  • Adapt to varying outdoor settings and independently lead small groups when necessary.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants throughout the program.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about conservation and our oceans.
  • A degree in marine sciences, biology, education, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in scientific fieldwork or teaching is preferred.
  • Ability to lead and conduct program activities in an outdoor setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
