New Line Learning Academy is seeking a committed and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join Orchard House, our brand‑new specialist Key Stage 3 emotional wellbeing and reintegration provision supporting students experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), anxiety and emotionally based attendance barriers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver elements of PSHE and Personal Development.
- Support students within therapeutic and emotional wellbeing sessions.
- Work alongside teachers in English, Mathematics and Science lessons.
- Mentor and support emotional regulation.
- Help students rebuild confidence, routines and readiness for learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable young people.
- Experience working with students experiencing SEMH, anxiety or SEND.

Working Hours and Contract
The role is 37 hours per week: Monday‑Thursday 8:00 am‑4:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am‑3:30 pm, working 38 weeks per year. This role is a fixed‑term contract for 1 year initially. Only applications submitted through the school application process will be considered; CVs will not be accepted.
