The Role
This is a senior leadership role within a growing and dynamic credit underwriting function, supporting a rapidly evolving technology and financial services business.
- Lead and develop the credit underwriting team, including performance, hiring and KPIs.
- Analyse customer risk profiles and validate automated credit scoring models.
- Manage credit exposure, limits and portfolio risk across sectors.
- Produce risk reporting and support governance forums and board-level decisions.
- Oversee trade credit insurance, budgets and process improvements.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align credit strategy with business objectives.
- Support complex credit decisions and approvals within delegated authority.
- Drive continuous improvement across underwriting processes and controls.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in credit underwriting within financial services or asset finance.
- Strong leadership and team management capability.
- Excellent analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Solid understanding of credit governance, regulation and compliance.
- Commercially aware with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to influence at senior level.
