New Leaf Search has partnered with an entrepreneurial renewable energy sector client in its search for a Junior Business Development Manager. Salary up to £40,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits. Location: UK, South East / South England / Midlands (Remote).
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a developing business development professional to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business operating within the renewable energy and asset finance sector. You will support the generation of new business, develop supplier and customer relationships, and contribute to delivering innovative “Energy as a Service” solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects across energy efficiency and renewable markets
- Identify, engage and build relationships with suppliers and customers
- Generate new business through proactive outreach and networking
- Support structuring and delivery of Energy as a Service (EaaS) contracts
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
- Attend meetings, deliver training and support client engagement activity
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and support wider sales team activity
- Contribute to achieving revenue, pipeline and activity targets
Candidate Profile
- Early-stage business development or sales experience
- Strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability or asset finance
- Confident communicator with relationship-building capability
- Self‑motivated, proactive and eager to develop a sales career
- Organised with strong attention to detail and CRM discipline
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
This role could also suit an Internal Sales or Sales Support professional looking to transition into an external, field‑based business development role. We strongly favour applicants with proven, relevant experience in Financial Services; particularly Asset Finance and Leasing.
