New Leaf School is seeking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic Family Support Worker (Safeguarding and Attendance Responsibilities).

Grade 7 (SCP 22 - 27) 35 Hours per week, Term Time Only.

This is an exciting time to join New Leaf School. This is a fast-paced and energetic environment where all staff work together with families to improve the life chances of some of Walsall's most vulnerable children.

New Leaf School is a Key Stage 1, 2, and 3 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) serving the entire borough of Walsall. All pupils attend New Leaf following permanent exclusion from a mainstream school; many pupils might have a range of needs, including social and emotional difficulties, which can impact their learning. Therefore, engaging with challenging and vulnerable learners is an essential part of this role. Our mission is to ensure each young person leaves New Leaf on the right pathway to achieve their best educational outcomes and life chances.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment.

Suitability checks will be undertaken for successful candidates in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024), including identity, Right To Work, qualifications, prohibition check, two references, and an enhanced DBS check.
