Support Workers (Mental Health) - Multiple Casual Positions Available in Ashfield & Hurstville Locations.
About The Role
These positions support our participants in the Mental Health space. Lived experience relevant to the role is very desirable. If youβre looking for somewhere to pursue your passion and make a significant difference by ensuring culturally safe and responsive support, this is the role for you. These positions are offered on a casual basis, allowing for a flexible work schedule that can accommodate various personal commitments and lifestyles. Working days β Monday to Sunday, with various different shifts available.
The Day To Day
- Providing support to participants in the mental health space, to improve their independence by assisting with living skills, transport, social activities, as well as other supports as required.
- Keeping customer records up to date using online systems.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with people, families, caregivers and key stakeholders.
- Complete risk assessments, support plans and other required documents in a timely manner.
About You
- Punctual, Friendly, Outgoing, Non-Judgemental, Flexible, Persistent, Empathetic, Practical, Balanced, Compassionate and Warm.
- Invested in providing the highest quality in Mental Health services to the community.
- Competent in working with people living with Mental Health.
What You Need To Have
- Qualification in Mental Health or Community Services, OR equivalent relevant experience in the human services industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues affecting individuals, young people, families and communities.
- Knowledge of services, Mental Health programs, NDIS and Understanding of Person-Centered Practices.
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to starting with us).
- Valid NSW Drivers C class license, with ability to drive vehicles in license class.
- NDISWC (or willingness to obtain prior to starting with us).
- WWCC (or willingness to obtain prior to starting with us).
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office and other common computer systems.
- Passion, Respect & Integrity.
