We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our growing team, providing high-quality, person-centred support to a female client based in Irchester (NN29). This role is ideal for someone who is calm, reliable, and committed to delivering consistent, respectful care. You will be supporting a client with specific health and mobility needs, including seizures and hoist transfers. Full, comprehensive training in manual handling, equipment use, and clinical awareness will be provided to ensure you feel confident and fully prepared.
Working as part of New Horizons Care means joining a supportive, friendly, and professional team. You will play an important role in promoting independence, encouraging engagement, and ensuring the client's routines and preferences are followed with dignity and respect at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the client with daily living tasks in line with her established care plan
- Following set routines carefully and consistently
- Monitoring and recording any changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing
- Using hoisting equipment and completing manual handling tasks safely (training provided)
- Promoting dignity, respect, and choice in every aspect of care
- Working collaboratively with the wider care team to maintain continuity and high standards
Shifts available: 7:30am - 7:30pm and 7:30pm - 7:30am (waking nights). We are open to discussing which day(s) of the week you work, but you must commit to at least two regular weekly shifts. Additional availability to cover holidays and sickness within the team is required.
What We're Looking For- Experience in care or support work (seizure awareness and hoist experience beneficial)
- A calm, patient, and reliable approach
- Someone who follows routines and care plans with accuracy
- Strong communication skills and a respectful, person-centred mindset
- A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the client's needs
