Role Description
The Deputy Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the New Hope Rehabilitation service in Raithby By Spilsby. This position supports the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the rehabilitation unit, including overseeing care delivery, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Deputy Manager monitors service quality, leads by example in promoting person-centered care, and responds to operational issues as they arise. Daily responsibilities include supervising and mentoring staff, supporting admissions and assessments, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to care planning and reviews. The role also involves regular communication with clients, families, and external professionals, fostering a safe, supportive, and positive environment for everyone in the service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or deputy management role within rehabilitation, social care, mental health, or a related care setting.
- Strong leadership, team coordination, and people management skills, including mentoring, performance oversight, and conflict resolution.
- Solid understanding of person-centered care, safeguarding, risk management, and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., UK health and social care standards).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients, families, staff, and external professionals.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including rota management, report writing, record keeping, and basic IT proficiency (email, MS Office, care management systems).
- Ability to work on-site in Raithby By Spilsby, respond calmly in challenging situations, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Relevant professional qualification in health and social care, nursing, psychology, or a related field; management or leadership training is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, commitment to continuous learning, and a genuine motivation to support people through rehabilitation.
