Are you a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist looking for a rewarding opportunity in a close-knit community setting? We are seeking a motivated and compassionate pharmacist to join our small, village-based essential pharmacy in Talybont, Aberystwyth. As a trusted healthcare provider in the area, we pride ourselves on delivering personalised care and building long-standing relationships with our patients. This pharmacy is independently run and serves a loyal local population. We are open Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and currently dispense around 1,500 items per month. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys autonomy, is confident working solo or with a small team, and values meaningful patient interactions over high-volume pressure. The setting is relaxed, with a real focus on quality of care, and you will have the chance to shape services around the needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and in accordance with GPhC standards
  • Provide friendly, clear medication counselling and health advice to patients
  • Deliver or support the delivery of NHS and private services (e.g. flu jabs, BP checks)
  • Work collaboratively with local GPs and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain stock control and handle day-to-day pharmacy operations
  • Ensure high standards of compliance, hygiene, and patient safety
  • Engage in local health promotion and build trust in the community

What We Are Looking For:

  • GPhC-registered pharmacist
  • Strong commitment to patient-centred care
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working independently
  • A proactive, flexible attitude with good clinical judgment
  • Experience in community pharmacy (preferred)
  • Familiarity with NHS Wales services and essential pharmacy requirements (desirable)
