New Haden Pumps are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible Trainee Pump Engineer to join our installation team. The role is based from Cheadle, Staffs with work mainly in central London and surrounding counties but may include occasional UK wide travel. Overnight stays and a full UK driving licence are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- To assist the lead pump engineer in all aspects of the work.
- Maintenance work on pumping equipment, water booster pumps, pressurisation units, submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps & control equipment.
- Entering into confined spaces and dealing with grey water and effluent; equipment, etc.
- Liaise with customers on site team members and management.
- Provide feedback on parts used in line with procedures to complete a task.
- Complete times sheets, job sheets, expense sheets in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- experience with construction site environments.
- to be able to work with the minimum of supervision and to tight deadlines.
- able to read mechanical drawings.
- must be able to work safely, within Health & Safety guidelines.
- must be a Team Player.
- CSCS certification would be advantageous.
- to be able to work outside of normal working hours.
- to be able to work in confined space areas (training provided).
Hours
45 hours a week plus overtime
