  • Provide 1:1 support to children or small groups, particularly those with SEN.

  • Support the class as a whole and assist the class teacher in daily activities.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and caregivers.

  • Care for and supervise children during break and lunch times, ensuring their well-being.

  • Engage and motivate children during activities, promoting participation.

  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning environment.

  • Act as a positive role model, inspiring children to reach their potential.

Are you passionate about supporting children in Nursery and Reception? Do you have a genuine interest in helping children with additional needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)? If you’re confident, energetic, and have a can-do attitude, then our Early Years Teaching Assistant role is perfect for you!

We are working with several primary schools in Kingston, looking for enthusiastic and committed EYFS Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism, Speech and Language needs, and Learning Difficulties., * A positive, caring, and energetic attitude with a can-do mindset.

  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children in the Early Years.

  • Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable

  • Ability to monitor, assess, and record a child’s progress.

  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.

  • Must be comfortable with personal care.

  • A keen interest in supporting children’s development.

  • EYFS Level 3 qualification or higher is desirable but not required for all schools.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in record-keeping and observation.

  • Familiarity with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Bookkeeping skills (an advantage, but not essential).
