- Is truly passionate about teaching Geography
- Has experience teaching GCSE Geography
- Is open to teaching a range of age groups, from the end of KS2 to GCSE

Job Description Overview:
You will be teaching pupils Geography from the end of KS2 up to GCSE Level, teaching two year groups within each small class of up to 12 pupils. You will also be a subject leader for Geography, promoting the subject within the school and supporting other teachers where required.
Experience:
Essential:
- Have experience of teaching GCSE Geography
- Be an experienced teacher, although QTS is not a requirement
Desirable:
- QTS
- Experience teaching in an alternative or small school setting
- Experience as a subject leader
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for planning and teaching engaging lessons to your assigned classes, as well as assessing, monitoring, recording and reporting on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment. As the key individual delivering Geography as a bespoke subject in the school, you will be expected to use your professional skills and judgments to provide strategic and practical leadership in this subject area. You will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work closely with other teachers, guiding them in how to teach Geography effectively within their project based learning.
