About the role

Are you a dynamic programme manager with a passion for driving change and improving local government?

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Programme Manager to lead on change initiatives, taking a particular lead on local government reorganisation. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future direction of our ambitious organisation and play a key role in supporting the leadership of the council.

You will be part of an established transformation team in an ambitious, forward-thinking council dedicated to making a positive impact.

About you:

You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent and an experienced programme manager with strong project management, communication and delivery skills, preferably in the public sector.

Experience in successful programme management in a complex public sector setting, and experience of LGR would be a real advantage.

Key responsibilities:

Managing the strategic planning and execution of transformation and change initiatives, including local government reorganisation.

Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and buy-in.

Managing project timelines, budgets and resources effectively.

Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful programme delivery.

Monitoring and reporting on programme performance using established metrics.

Developing and implementing communications strategies to keep stakeholders informed

Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policies.
