We’re expanding our waste services and looking for a dedicated Waste and Recycling Operative to help deliver this vital service to our communities.

Job Details

  • Salary: £26,476 per annum (pay award pending)
  • Basis: Full time
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Lymington Depot
  • Region: South

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for residents’ recycling and waste, identifying contamination and ensuring material is correctly sorted for recycling or energy recovery.
  • Perform physically demanding, sometimes messy outdoor work while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
  • Assist in maintaining and operating waste collection vehicles and equipment.
  • Support the team in meeting daily collection targets and service objectives.

Requirements

  • Subject to pre‑employment health screening.
  • Basic DBS check required.
