We are looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Training Administrator to join our Operations Services team. This role is essential to ensuring that all operational staff across the service are fully trained, competent and compliant in their roles – from waste and recycling to grounds maintenance, street cleaning, fleet, and other frontline services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end administration of training activities, ensuring colleagues have the right skills, at the right time, to deliver high-quality services to our residents.
  • Work a day shift at the depot to support multi-service operations teams, and another day on training administration duties, building strong relationships across operations and administration teams.
  • Maintain and update the training database, records and compliance logs for all operational teams.
  • Coordinate mandatory, statutory and role‑specific training, including induction programmes, refresher courses, vocational qualifications and health & safety requirements.
  • Liaise with internal managers, external training providers and accrediting bodies to schedule courses and assessments.
  • Monitor training expiries and proactively arrange re-certifications.
  • Produce regular reports on training compliance for managers and supervisors.
  • Support the development of training plans and competency frameworks.
  • Assist with organising in‑house training sessions, venues, resources and equipment.
  • Provide excellent administrative support, ensuring training processes run smoothly across the department.

About You

You are an organised, detail‑orientated administrator who can manage multiple priorities while remaining calm under pressure. You enjoy working with a wide range of people and have excellent communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong administrative and coordination skills.
  • Confidence using databases, spreadsheets and digital systems.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with staff, managers and external providers.
  • Experience in training coordination, HR administration or workforce development (desirable).
  • Understanding of operational services or health & safety compliance (advantageous but not essential).
  • A positive, can‑do attitude will also be beneficial in the role.
