New Forest District Council is seeking a proactive and innovative Economic Development Officer to support local businesses, drive investment and contribute to our efforts in enabling a prosperous and sustainable future for the New Forest. The past year has seen us prepare a new Corporate Plan, begin work on our new Local Plan and work increasingly closely with the Solent Freeport and the potential growth opportunities arising. About the role As an Economic Development Officer, you will assist the Team Leader in encouraging sustainable economic development within the district including supporting economic initiatives at both a local and sub-regional level, an emerging skills agenda, increased emphasis on partnership working and wider regeneration aspirations.
