New Forest District Council is seeking a dedicated Corporate Health and Safety Advisor to join our team and champion a positive safety culture across our organisation.
About The Role
As a Corporate Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, residents, and visitors. You will be part of a team of 4 responsible for providing expert health and safety advice to the managers and employees of New Forest District Council. The Corporate Health and Safety Team provides competent advice to all Services which includes Waste, Transport, Housing Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, Street Scene and many others. Working within the team, you will be involved in the organisation, planning and undertaking of audits across the organisation, providing expert advice to our managers and supporting the Safety Management System, ensuring that active and reactive monitoring is undertaken, and actions acted upon.
About You
You will have good interpersonal skills, excellent level of ICT including proven working knowledge of O365 applications and have practical experience working in an office. You will strive to meet deadlines and have the ability to work under pressure. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
