Job Description

The role of the Product Coordinator is to effectively plan delivery and communication of relevant product range launches. The Product Coordinator reports to the Product Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • To work alongside the Product Manager and Senior Category Manager to co-ordinate product from development to launch (proto sample orders / approval, range layouts / calendars, sales sample orders and delivery) on seasonal product ranges.
  • Manages and ensures Product Line Plan in PLM is up to date and organized accordingly.
  • To communicate range development status to the Internal Sales teams and North America Business Unit as per Time and Action Calendar deadlines, ensuring all tools required (range development calendar, pricing files, discrepancies, presentations) are updated and available to all stakeholders.
  • To work with Design to ensure seasonal range briefs are followed, updated, and thoroughly checked against comments and key calendar dates.
  • To work with EMEA Sourcing to ensure relevant products and programs are launched with achievable delivery dates and achieve target margins.
  • To communicate launch updates to Operations Team, Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Work with Marketing to ensure all Product tools are adjusted for seasonal launches.
  • To coordinate/ organize samples and presentation tools for events including but not limited to Sales Meetings and Internal Proto reviews. This will include support when requested during key presentations.
  • Distribute samples to the Sales team and customers in a timely manner when requested for relevant marketing use.
  • To ensure all licensed products go through our Licensor’s approval processes, including liaising with North America legal teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Alongside the Product Manager, review weekly sell through across our Key Account business, making relevant links between sales to inform future range planning.
  • Maintain shared drives to ensure all relevant product information is available to Sales and Internally.
  • To provide additional operational support to the other Business Unit teams as required.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Problem solving capabilities – a solution provider.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, checks through work before distributing.

Qualifications and Achievements

Through experience, must be able to demonstrate achievement over time in the following areas:

  • Orientation towards the culture, product category and instinct for the specific market.
  • Contributing individual capabilities in the achievement of group objectives and working effectively with others in a group setting.
  • Enthusiastic and pro-active.
  • Ideally this candidate would have worked in Product Line Management Systems.

Education

  • Good secondary education, preferably up to A-level or equivalent standard.
  • Knowledge of industry, consistent review of relevant social channels to ensure they are aware of ongoing trends in sportswear.
