The role of the Key Account Manager β TEAM SPORTS is to develop, service, and grow profitable business within the team sport sector for both New Era & 47. While primarily responsible for driving sales across both license and supply deals, this position is also responsible for looking for new opportunities within the sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage specified Clubs / Accounts in order to achieve corporate objectives and budgeted targets.
- Build long term profitable business partnerships.
- Develop and execute clear business plans with regards to product, pricing, marketing, in-store (where relevant) and logistical excellence.
- Ensure successful integration of seasonal sales and marketing initiatives.
- Effective communication to departments/stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Present product and secure orders by working capably within set ranges, deadlines, and targets.
- Work directly with the product team & club to build future ranges through a pre-determined GTM process, including prelining & range reviews.
- Manage the range build for all supply clubs, starting with a relevant product brief.
- Seek new supply opportunities, ensuring all clubs fall within the brand & commercial parameters and will be subject to approval.
- Sales data analysis β use and understand retail data (e.g., stock to sales ratio, weeks cover etc.) to benefit the Company and customer.
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the team sport landscape, the key stakeholders, distribution and segmentation, the strength of New Era / 47 and competitor activity, new trends etc.
- Build a solid working relationship with the counterpart in the team who also manages team sports, sharing best practice & ideas.
Knowledge and Experience
- Must have previous experience working within the team sector from a sales / development point of view and demonstrate knowledge of the product development process.
- Must be able to demonstrate exceptional sales experience in Sports/Fashion sector.
- Well-developed presentation skills β PowerPoint, verbally and with product.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to write and implement 3β5-year strategic account plans to encompass all aspects of the strategic plan.
- Have the ability to work cross functionally in the business and build relationships at all levels.
- Full understanding of retail, the ability to βthink like a retailerβ stock to sales ratio, weeks cover etc.
- Can demonstrate strong influencing skills at all levels.

- Hands-on approach to all aspects of business as well as being a team player.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of Management with the account and internally.

Location β the position is field based in UK, with a minimum of 2 days in the MK head office.
