As an upholsterer, you'll bring craftsmanship and precision to the production of bespoke furniture, including sofas, chairs and other upholstered pieces. Producing for our Retail shop customers. The successful applicant will be comfortable with heavy lifting and have a keen eye for detail. Days of work are fixed Mon-Friday pm. Pay is negotiable based on experience and how fast you are.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in upholstery necessary.
- Sofa upholstery and re-upholstery of sofas, footstools and chairs.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required during production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience:
- Previous sofa upholstery experience is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
- Experience in sewing is an advantage but not essential.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to quality workmanship is essential for success in this role.
- An upbeat can-do attitude to work.
