Role Job Description – Weekday Warehouse Operative
Must have in-date Reach Truck and Counterbalance Licenses. Must have full UK Driving License. Reporting to the Yard/Warehouse Supervisor, we are seeking a hard-working and conscientious individual to support our warehouse team. The core hours are Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 14:30, with an expectation to cover team holidays which may include a 05:00 start when required. This will be confirmed in the shift rota in advance.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the area of work (Drystore and/or Coldstore), racking and mechanical handling equipment is safe and logged via the WorkSafe system.
- Ensuring Warehousing meets company policy in terms of hygiene and food safety at all times and in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Accurate receipting of materials in and booking materials out using the BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) system via a scan solution ensuring all trace detail is correct.
- To be able to pick from lists produced by planning which may require splitting of a pallet as a pallet quantity may be too much.
- Report any near misses or damages in a timely manner.
- Monitor and escalate non-moving, delisted, quarantine stocks and samples.
- Regular stock takes of physical stock to BUSINESS CENTRAL (BC) and root cause of any variances.
- Work with other warehousing operations (Drystore / Coldstore / Yard) and Departments as needed.

A Typical Day In This Role Will Involve
- POEPT/Pick/Putaway = 50 - 70%
- Reach Truck = 25 - 50%
- FLT = 25 - 50%
There will be manual handling, cold temperatures and some heavy lifting within this role.
